Talk:Art

From iA wiki

This should somehow have a nice list of related topics on it in point form, as well as some wikification towards media, information etc etc.. see Music/Talk. Also link to graphics. This could go very oldschool with references to changes in art with regards to computers. It could go either way.. the arts being brought to computers and then how computers have reflected back into the world. The entire discussion could touch on media as well as distribution channels like File Sharing and of course some legal issues as well. -- rack

I'm an artist looking for an outlet to distribute some of my art that's free (creative commons NCSA license). I have a website but I don't get a lot of hits. -- rett

I make art too. I draw and paint but not to much. I share some scans but would like to make copies of some of my bigger stuff as well. I recently went through a phase of creating fractals then I shared them online. I haven't got a clue as to who or how many people have browsed these pages. I don't promote or advertise much if at all. Do you market your artwork?
I try to make music but this is much more complex for me, so I tried djing for a little bit. I like screen-printing but dont get to do it much. When I am older I want to do sculpture and landscape gardening. When I was at high school I made excellect hand-painted silk scarves. That was the best fun. One day I might get it a go. Have you tried any of these methods and media?

I wish people would take note that Money is not needed to create Art. Art can be produced from very little at very little cost but can also be expensive to produce.

The link between Art and revenue/costs etc is fairly contentous and is a large part of the copyright debate. - ABliss
