More often used to refer to personal weblogs than to collaborative ones. Few people would call Kuro5hin or Slashdot blogs, but a lot of individuals call their own weblogs blogs.
The term is perceived as irritating by many ("if I ever hear the word blog again ..."), perhaps because it doesn't make much sense and sounds too much like "bloke" or "bog"
Some equate the wiki with a blog.
