Month of the Sysops

To deal with the increasing spam and to allow you guys to focus on editing over cleanup work, I've declared a month of sysop-only editing -- with the additional provision that pretty much anyone can become a sysop. I've given you bureaucrat permission, so you can help turning registered users into sysops. If you want to do so, please list yourself on iA:Month of the Sysops. Spamming

Let me know (best by email to moeller AT scireview DOT de) if the spamming becomes unbearable. We can temporarily switch back to sysop-editing, but we can also try out new anti-spamming tools like the spam cleanup script by Tim Starling and the captcha extension by Brion Vibber.--Erik 22:58, 6 February 2006 (GMT)
