Taxonomy is the science of naming and classifying the diversity of a set of objects of a like kind. A taxonomy is a collection of controlled vocabulary terms organized into a hierarchical structure.
A taxonomy will develop and evolve as the properties of objects under study become less unknown. A system which is based on a natural order, avoiding buzzwords, jargon and even sayings. A taxonomy that reduces complexity and ambiguity, often suits most purposes.
