There are also processors that aren't CPUs, so the redirect here is not really correct. For instance in the past we had "FPUs" which, though i think means "Floating Point Unit", was a seperate processor for floating point. Also now there are "GPUs" on graphics cards dedicated just to graphics processing. Many synths have processors designed for processing audio, etc. And how are processors different from integrated circuits? -- Amw
