Talk:Politics

From iA wiki

What's that big thing in the middle about Bush and Chomsky and stuff? It's interesting, but it's not particularly relevant to politics as a general topic. I've left it sitting there for a while thinking it was a reminder to someone, but it doesn't appear to've been fleshed out. Is it going to be a sub-page of politics, or part of /talk or...? -- Amw

Your right that section and even the rest still need fleshing out (eg linking politics, law, democracy and hacking, cracking, DRM, etc) or else the stuff you mentioned needs moving or removal. - ABliss
Although I agree with the Bush statement and Chomsky is a pretty interesting political character, I would really rather avoid expressing opinions. We can define the opinions themselves but defining politics doesn't involve listing just one perception. For instance, many Republicans feel that, by rolling back the "New Deal" of the Post-WWII era, a new boom in economics will occur, much as it did during the 1800s thru the 1930s. The problem is, for me, that's somewhat of what's been tried during the Reagan era of "Trickle Down Economics," which didn't work.
Not only that, but focusing on such issues is only to look at the US. Politics is much bigger than the Democrat-Republican system of the states.
