Talk:Open Publishing
From iA wiki
In the process of Open Publishing one should be aware that not all news are truths. I would rather use the word gossip in the above paragraph.
One need to be aware that there is a thin border between gossip and news. It is often not possible to distinguish between the two. But at least in my mother tongue 'news' claims somewhat to be the truth whereas 'gossip' cleary implies some vagueness. -- C-Keen
- Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
- Perhaps all these related topics should link to discussion on journalism in more depth. The reasons behind it, the fears of the propagation of untruths and the various methods designed to "truthufy" journalism. ->
- These days, Journalism is a business, and so money ends up being a major goal.. well it so happens that the moneymaking businesses which journalism writes about also like money, and would lose money if reported on in certain ways. Said moneymakers choose to "share money" to "curb moneylosing journalistic activities". ->
- Furthermore, there is concern that government has been swayed such that there are unconstitutional controls allowed over journalism and media producers. In some countries, there are laws against Journalistic endeavours being owned by content providers, etc etc.. -- rack
