Whoah, read your bio. Twenty-ish and Toronto, me too. Do you go to the Slashdot meetups or anything? -- LukeyBoy
- What's a "Slashdot meetup"? Long ago I had given up on any sort of interaction with people in the computer world, since the huge uprising of illiteraties and the kiddie craze. More recently, I've noticed there are some bright people out there, but interaction in the cyberworld (bleh I hate that term) can be so harsh as to stop me from bothering to consider interaction with those people in the meatworld. ->
- On that note, I hopped on the Toronto Linux User Group mailing list even though I despise mailing lists.. and chatted a bunch about a Debian conversion I wanted to go through. I was intending to become a regular irl groupie, hoping to be able to groove with some local linux users. In the end, Debian crapped out on me in strange and fantastic ways, and there was enough of a general unhelpfulness or rudeness from tlug that I gave up hope.
- Maybe later when I get around to it I'll connect being social here/the cyberworld with being social irl, right now I'm unemployed and venting by editing wikis and such.. heh. -- rack
- I just figured out what a "meetup" is. Interesting concept. -- rack
