I don't remember RedHat creating a hybrid of GNOME and KDE ? I do remember that in RedHat 9, when you switch from GNOME to KDE you'd hardly know the difference unless you know what to look for. they made KDE look a bit more like GNOME, and GNOME look a lot more like KDE. the result is a desktop that doesn't look or act that good whether you're a GNOME fan or a KDE zealot.
