I would like a list of banned x-rated and r-rated games but I cant find one. I need names are reviews before I can retrieve. - ABliss

I wonder if there is a banned games list kept by the catholics, just as there's a banned books list. -- Sy
Post their list of banned books and I'll go buy some. Probably Gravity's Rainbow and The Necronomicon, right? Oh and "Catcher in the Rye" and the Qu'ran. Webfork
The problem with most X- and R-rated games is that they're shite. Remember most games are written by mentally prepubescent heterosexual nerds and aimed at the same audience. There have been some great op-ed pieces written at Gamasutra (Sex in Videogames - Part 1, Sex in Videogames - Part 2, etc) bemoaning the lack of adult-themed games - and by that they don't mean games with tits bouncing around, but games that deal with an adult subject matter.
If all you're interested in is X- or R-rated games for the sake of their rating you can look at Postal (FPS featuring the "pull down your pants and piss on someone" attack), Soldier of Fortune (FPS featuring the ability to shoot body parts off people and watch them beg for their lives), BMX XXX (featuring scantily clad women sexily BMXing around), Grand Theft Auto (featuring being a mobster and having to execute people in various gruesome ways)... There are heaps, but those are the ones that have been in the spotlight most recently. Have a look here to browse the ratings given by the ESRB and search by "adult". -- Amw
