This also needs to be expanded to make reference to the original non-computer / business term. -- rack

- I've got some photocopies I will go through. Records management or document handling are some related terms in the workplace and classification, catalog and possibly Bibliometric should be mentioned. A weblog by, or even a portal for a professional employed in such a job might be useful. - ABliss
I want to explore and discuss files and visualization. I'm thinking file-sharing might allow for everyone to manage vast quantities of data in various file formats. Eventually 2d lists will not suffice, so file sharing applications may have gain a 3d GUI to help users share and manage their collections.
I'm still searching for any 3d file visualizer/manager for windows, partly because search results get filled with "3d file" viewers. Linux has a bundle of programs which can render an image of a set of files. 3Dfm 1.0 is available, but my hardware and OS setup can't render. There is also 3D File Manager but its only version 0.0 alpha!
It would be great to see and explore content links on p2p networks with a user-friendly 3d graphics model. Imagine how the various ways of looking at files and the linking structure could enable people to discover new material. It would be good to know more about the related security implications from this traffic analysis. Anyone know of such features in any app and should 3d be wikified, cause there is some debate over what is, and what is not, of three dimensions? - ABliss
