sorry, i never used this program, since i couldn't get it working with WINE. ES5 wasn't mentioned here, so i added it. Chronicles doesn't work here either, but from what i can remember it was interesting.

I emailed Ras, the author, who said the Linux version will be out in october. In a later email, he said the Linux and Mac versions will be out in novembre.

On my question wether he'll release the Linux version opensource, he answered:

"All of the open source systems suck big time. If the RIAA and the MPAA weren't in the picture THEN these open souce system would be wonderfull systems. They currently have NO security whatsoever consequently, all their users are at a MAJOR risk. The RIAA is currently issusing 500 new subpoena's each week to users of these open source systems including Kazaa.

As of this date, no user of Earthstation5 has received a subpoena and/or a letter from the RIAA."

How can he know if users of his P2P network got subpoenaed? Could be done quietly. That doesn't proof his network is safe either. He also says as of this date. Does he even trust his own security?

After reading this, and recently the interviews, i distrust his knowledge on computers enought to not believe his claims. The IP he sended from was from Palestina though, and a traceroute shows that got routed throught -officialy- Israel routers.
