If something is dangerous to me, it is a threat to my physical security. Eg Capitalism, Climate Change, Tyrants, Bullies, Motorists, Americans, disease, ignorance, etc. I've never thought discussing something was dangerous. I think the lack of discussion on important things and the discussion of crap like economics and religion is dangerous. - ABliss

Differentiating between things that can hurt you and "hot topic" items is all well and good but I think it really IS dangerous. With the pervasiveness of surveillance and tools like Carnivore, simply discussing something on the Internet get get you "flagged" as a dangerous individual. Democratic discourse is more in danger in our life-times than ever before as it is now possible for massive databases to be collected on every single person. Everything you've ever written can probably be compressed onto a floppy disk. Webfork
