A platform and organisation, mostly consisting of lawyers, which provides legal advice (e.g. related to licensing or patents) to FOSS-related people (developers, managers, etcetera). At this time writing, people on board include Lawrence Lessig (formerly OSI), Eben Moglen (FSF), Daniel B. Ravicher (Pubpat, FSF), Diane M. Peters (OSDL), Daniel J. Weitzner (W3C), Bradley M. Kuhn (FSF), among others. The organisation is also involved in developing GPLv3.
