Introduction
Something that has its features of function duplicated, as in a redundant system or technology. Redundancy helps to maintain the overall integrity of a system. Such system are created as a kind of backup in case a critical component suffers a fatal flaw.
Redundant may also refer to a worker that is layed off, such as those working in the recording industry or those whose job is out-sourced.
