A Buddhist beatitude (higher state of conciousness) or a state of perfection. Nirvana is undescribable because it can only be known directly.
In computers, Nirvana is sometimes exchanged with Holy Grail, both illustrating the attainment of something fantastic. A more accurate comparison for Nirvana vs. Holy Grail would be a attainment of knowledge versus a thing.
