The almost religious conviction that a widespread adoption of computers and communications systems, along with broad access to electronic information technology, will automatically produce a better world for humanity.
Similar to the assumption in Cartesian Dualism that technology will eventually solve the problems we willfully create today, possibly putting of problems on future generations if no solution is found.
