"Home" for Tabs individually. Behaviour that will allow tab of choice to be returned to "Home". Could be Default, Option, Setting, whatever. Currently, "Home" button reloads all "home" tabs, resulting in duplicate open tabs.
WORDWRAP! WORDWRAP! WORDWRAP!
Text documents with long lines produce horrible horizontal scrollbars. There is an old extension floating around (WPAPTEXT.XPI) which provides a content menu option to word wrap such documents, but FF 1.5 refuses to run it.
Awesome:
- Simplicity is a big factor from everyone I've talked to. They like the ease of use, clean form factor, and simplicity.
- Middle-clicking a file opens in another tab and opens it in the background, outstanding for slow connections. This is my favorite feature in Mozilla but must be configured in the options. In Firefox, its by default.
Things from Mozilla would like to see in Firefox:
- Impliment cookie, pop-up, form, and other type of controls (or add them as a plugin) like "Tools - Cookie Manager - Deny all cookies from this site" or similar.
- Nitpick: I like the way just hitting enter on some terms does the "I feel lucky" option in Google but would also like the option (via pressing Tab or otherwise) to search that term like the previous mozilla.
- For my favorite plugin prefbar to work for Mozilla.
Things that should be:
- Give user full control to edit, add, and remove all associations, all plugins.
- Mozilla has the failure of sometimes the plugins taking over the browser or not being easily removed. Some plugins on mozdev are experimental but don't tell you. So you download it and then have to reinstall your browser. It would be nice that if some extra feature is added, it can also be quickly subtracted. That would make the extensibility of Firefox so much better.
- Users should be able to set what HTML editor they want to send a given page to (including Mozilla but also FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Notepad, etc.)
Dann werden lange URLs abgeschnitten. Dann verlieren sie aber ihren Zweck. sers should be able to set which e-mail editor they wish to associate with. On mine, it opens Outlook which is alllll wrong.
Fix minor bugs:
- When you turn off the download manager in favor of the download manager that it allows for some kind of progress dialogue option instead of just a popup when the file is complete.
- "Add Bookmark" defaults to the first folder which is usually "Imported IE Favorites"
Printing discomfort:
- Actually it is only possible to print title in the middle and the URL on the right border of the print sheet by default - I did not find any config possibilities, eventually in about:config? Very often URLs are longer as the possible 60 characters. Long URLs where cut off and wrapped to the left border while loosing characters and do not make any sense. (I often use Konquerer for printing for this reason.)
- It would be very helpful to make shure, that long URLs will be printed completely, or better to design the headerline by personal preferences.
- The print does not use the edited values of the Paper layout for the header line in the printer setup menue. Is there any possibilty to correct that misbehaviour? Is there any possibility to set the distance of the header and footer line?
