Mainstream

Mainstream refers to anything that is popularly accepted and recognised. If something has a large influence on culture it can be described as mainstream.

Mainstream doesn't include deviation towards the Bleeding-Edge, nothing too hardcore, extreme, experimental or radical. This would exclude the obscure, exotic, niche, underground or alternative from being part of the mainstream.
