FrostWire

FrostWire is a file sharing client released under GPL. It was written in Java, and it is a fork of LimeWire. Like LimeWire, it uses Gnutella network.

The development of FrostWire was started after LimeWire LLC announced that they were planning to implement DRM techology in their software. The future LimeWire client would not download or upload unlicenced material. The FrostWire developers promise that their client will never have such filters, and the project is going to be non-profit, without built-in advertisements, spyware or other parasite software bundled into it.
