Distributed proxy
From iA wiki
See also: Distributed proxies | Proxy | Anonymity
A type of proxy that resists attack by being spread over multiple systems. Ordinary proxies can be successfully shut down with one concentrated attack, making the proxy immediately useless while a distributed proxy can handle many proxys being shut down and still function for users.
This concept grew out of peer-to-peer networks and distributed computing but for the purpose of defeating censorship or Internet filters.

- JAP is an example of such a proxy but iA testing has shown mixed results with the free software.
