To make hidden or difficult to see.

In computers, the act of making a port not respond to a port scan. This is one of the more basic things that a firewall must do to make a computer more secure. Many UNIX systems give much more flexibility to cloak your ports.

May also refer to making a password invisible while typing in or characters are censored (******) or meaning that it is encrypted when saved to your computer.
