Acronym for: Computer Based Training

An increasingly popular method for distributed training by information technology organizations and universities. CBT requires far fewer resources than traditional training methods, is often self-paced, can be done remotely, and allows the user to use and impliment techniques presently. It also offers advantages for teaching in remote areas and the handicapped.
