A branch of philosophy and Psychology concerned with artistic beauty and ugliness. Aesthetics can be thought of as a reasoning model for preference.
In computers, an example of aesthetics in action would be freelance PC builders who put computers in simple grey cases while others add lights, transparent plastic cases, and other effects. Often, adding aesthetics makes the item cost more.
