From the homepage: "ANts P2P realizes a third generation P2P net. It protects your privacy while you are connected and makes you not trackable, hiding your identity (ip) and crypting everything you are sending/receiving from others."

It requires Java 1.5 (aka Java 5.0). The project is still in development. See the homepage for a feature list.

Linux users who have trouble opening the installer please try the following:

  • Download the jnlp file to /
  • Open a new Shell window and type:

/usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/bin/javaws /antsp2p_20_3_2006.jnlp and the program will show it's GUI, also see the Antsp2p Help.
