Grokster was one of the first licensees of the software originally known as KaZaA. It repackaged the application, added some third party software and to this date, has been successfully distributing it to a subset of the FastTrack network population. Grokster gained some popularity when the media reported about the existence of a P2P "stealth network" called AltNet within the KaZaA application. Grokster does not contain AltNet.
