Something that is dynamic has a changing status over time, making it the opposite to static. Society, communities and culture are very interactive and dynamic. Dynamic can refer to a modifying movement for progress or a force of action. Dynamic things have a history. They may even come and go like a Flash Mob.

In a dynamic or quasi-chaotic system bounded transition zones define the degenerating patterns that emerge. Something dynamic has an unpredictable behaviour yet it might repeat cycles within a specific set of parameters so it isn't quite random.
